The jewelry I handcraft in my studio is designed with rare and unusual gems and other miraculous slices of our beautiful planet. The designs are all one-of-a-kind or limited editions. The pendants are not encased, as usual, in gold or silver because I find the rough edges, original stone backings and crystalline spokes to be more powerful and enchanting in their original God-given shape. My intention is always to create a piece that will inspire and uplift the wearer through its beauty, its healing vibration and its link to the ancient tradition of sacred adornment. Many years of traveling and living in Asia, opened my heart and mind to the beauty of expressing our spiritual nature. My first breathtaking sight of a Tibetan woman draped in coral, turquoise, silver and gold set me on the path toward designing jewelry that uplifts the spirit. I love finding the way particular colors and shapes need to come together in order for the piece to be harmonious. I love finding the perfect clasp to fit the piece and all the small details that go into craftsmanship. My goal is to create jewelry that speaks to the heart in the way that that first sight of the Tibetan woman spoke to me. I live with my great-hearted husband and equally great-hearted dog on a eucalyptus covered hillside in Northern California where my designs are constantly inspired by the beauty of the land and the loving folks around me. |
